I am Marissa, I am currently a student at Westminster College working towards my bachelor in Neuroscience. When I look at my future I attempt to see a bright one but currently all I see is the steps I need to go through to make a future worth searching for. I know I want to make a difference in my community and have an affect on everyone I meet. I had the opportunity to work with kids between the ages of 6 and 10 at my church for 3 years. That experience helped me realize that I can work with and love kids. Seeing a child smile makes me think of the potential and innocence behind their faces. I would like to help make it possible for kids to have the ability to learn and live life to their full potential. I feel that by studying and researching how kids develop would be a great way to allow me to gain a position in which I can help kids have the ability to learn, have fun, and live. This has made me realize that I would like to be a pediatric oncologist.
